On the Fringe of Something Beautiful

On the fringe of something beautiful

Fringe bags are back!  We are on the fringe of spring weather in Chicago, where I'm from, and to celebrate we're springing back to a popular fall trend with a new twist.  Styling fringe bags can be a bit tricky.  With the wrong outfit they can look frompy or outdated.  Keep reading for tips on styling fringe bags for Spring 2015.  If you would like to purchase any of the items pictured above, I provided the links at the end of this post.

There are three different ways I like to style fringe handbags.  The first is pictured above.  It pairs the fringe bag with a very light and airy floral dress.  This gives the outfit a more feminine touch.  The leather and the floral create an earthy vibe and the denim jacket balances the light fabric of the dress and the thick leather bag.  This is my favorite way to style fringe handbags for springtime.  It's nice and casual, but still trendy and put together.

The second way to style this bag is the boho way.  Ditch the denim jacket and substitute the short floral dress for a white t-shirt and colorful or patterned maxi skirt.  Add a long necklace or a scarf and a headband to accessorize.  Wear the bag in a crossbody style.

The third and final way is a little more chic.  Pair a spring-colored skinny pant with a flowy, pale blouse.  Add a simple necklace, earrings, and layered bracelets with a watch to accessorize.  Again, wear the bag crossbody.  Dress this look up with heels or dress it down with flats.

With all of these styles, I recommend natural toned makeup.  Too heavy of makeup with these trendy looks can be too much.  Keep it simple with nude lips, filled in brows, and mascara.
