In my post about mixing foundations, I featured a photo of the brush I use when mixing and applying my foundation. It is the Stipple Brush by e.l.f. Cosmetics from the Studio Collection. I absolutely love this brush! It's surprisingly high quality and only costs $3 on the e.l.f. website.
Before I found this brush, I used to use the e.l.f. Essential Foundation Brush. It was just a simple, flat foundation brush for only $1. I was not happy with it at all. The application was so thick on my face, and even when I used less, I still couldn't blend it without using another brush to buff it out. It also shed on my face, which is so annoying when applying makeup. So I knew I had to switch.
I bought the Stipple Brush about a year ago. I can tell it's almost time for a new one, but it's held up well. It doesn't shed at all, which is great. I clean my brushes after every use using the e.l.f. Studio Daily Brush Cleaner. So, I do take really good care of it.
My favorite thing about it is the design of the brush allows me to blend my foundation so well. With the other brush, I always found myself going over what I just applied with a blending brush or even my fingers; But, with this brush, I never have to do that. If you want full coverage, it works the best to start out with a light amount of foundation and gradually apply more and more. If you start off with a lot of product on the brush, it will sometimes give you lines and make it a little harder to blend.
I am really satisfied with this brush and I would totally recommend it to anyone in the market for a foundation brush. Obviously, it's super affordable. It also works really well, which is often a hard combination to find.
This review was requested by another fashion blogger with some great tips and reviews of her own, which I will link because I read it and found it really helpful. I was in no way paid to review this or given it by the company. I bought this a while ago and was asked to share my opinion on it, which is that I really love it!
Leave a comment and let me know what you're favorite e.l.f. product is or what you thought of the Stipple Brush if you've used it!
This looks like such a good foundation brush, nice review! <3
