Stay Cool, Look Hot

Simple and elegant

Simple and elegant by beinspiredbyme featuring a heart necklace

My favorite hobby: making Polyvore collages!  This is a summery glam look.  When you're going to an event in the sweltering heat, sometimes it can be difficult to find the right balance between elegant and classy and cool and comfortable.  This outfit is just that.  If you'd like to purchase any of the items in this collage, they are linked at the end of this post.
Recently one of the groups I am a part of on Polyvore had a contest about outfits to complement redheads.  Being a naturally redhead, I was super excited to create this look.  Although I missed the contest deadline, this would have been the look I entered.  I will be explaining my thought process in styling the redhead.  The redhead contest was the inspiration for this look, but really it can be worn by anyone and look amazing.

Since this is a summer style, I didn't want to choose anything that would wash out the fair skin of the redhead so I went with a jewel-toned dress.  The green complements her hair color and brings out her eyes.  The dress is sleeveless, so perfect for summer.  It is a great length for any occasion.  This dress could be dressed up or down, but chose to glam it up.

I chose gold accessories because the warm tone is very summer sun inspired.  The white in the shoes and clutch add an elegant touch to the outfit.  The chunky shoe makes also adds to the summertime vibe of the look.

This look would be great to wear to a wedding, or any other dressy occasion.  I adore l this look.  It's so classy, yet simple.  It is absolutely beautiful.  I love that it's versatile.  Like I said before, the inspiration for this was the redhead contest on Polyvore, but this outfit would look stunning on everyone, which is what makes it so great.

Leave me a comment and tell me your favorite piece in this outfit, or link me your own Polyvore collage!
