Totally Trendy Without Being Too Much!

Summer Chevron

Summer Chevron by beinspiredbyme featuring a chevron pattern dress

It has been a while since I've blogged and I am sorry about that.  Life got super busy, but I am back with even more fashion knowledge!

...And again with the Polyvore collages.  I just cannot get enough!  It lets me put all my ideas into pictures..so perf!  Anywho... Let's talk trends, ladies!  This gorgeous outfit is rockin' a few of this summer's hottest. And if you want to purchase any of these they are linked at the bottom of this article thanks to Polyvore.

So, let's start with my absolute favorite: the quilted cross body bag.  It is perfect for summer!  It's small enough to not be a burden to carry around in the heat, but has enough room inside so that you can keep everything you need with you.  The cross body style is hot!  And the leather and chain strap is just gorgeous!  Come on guys, summer must have right here.

The next trendy piece in this outfit is the pink sunglasses.  Fun glasses are a small way to add a little extra to an outfit.  I love adding neon glasses for an extra punch to any outfit.  This outfit they go especially well with because they match the pink in the chevron patterned dress.

Which brings us to our next trend: the chevron.  Chevron has been in for a while now and is the pattern of the summer in my opinion.  You can't go wrong with it.  The oversized chevron gives a breezy take on the sharp pattern.  The clean zig-zagging lines contrast the flowy silhouette of the dress in an unexpectedly beautiful way.

Speaking of lines, linear earrings are my next trend demonstrated in this outfit.  These vertical silhouettes are hot this summer!  Just simple, straight down, dangling earrings add an elegant but fab touch and tie everything together.

To finish off the outfit I added three final summer must-haves: a pair of fun-colored flat sandals, beach waves, and bright glossy lips!

I'll admit artistically this wasn't my best collage in terms of the layout, but trend-wise it's wonderful.  Four main trends in one outfit without looking overdone.  That's how you do it!
